Chinese and Western religion，这种译法这里是不妥当的，因为按照英语的最普遍的理解，意思应当为发源于中国的宗教及发源于西方的宗教，而不是存在于中国的宗教和存在于西方的宗教。至少说含义上存在不同的理解，与原文意思不能等同。
