"金声玉振"并不是形容声音的,而是指一个人的学问极其高深,所以梅一的翻译是对的.只是acqierement一词,merriam-webster 与the new oxford dictionary of english 未收.网上能查到,估计是 acquirement 的异体词.并且窃以为在这里 acquirement 应用复数.
