请问翻译，并附带一个问题。
m: Now that I think about it, I can't remember when there wasn't background music in restaurants and stores.
f: That shows how young you are. Actually, it all started during World War II when some factories had their own orchestras to keep workers happy and calm.
另：请问f为何会回应m这句话“That shows how young you are”呢？是否表示f比较年长？

未必f比m年龄大（虽然很可能），只是f对历史知道得更多
