大家先看下面一个例子：

　　国内大多数公司的翻译如下：中文名称：洛阳东周陶瓷有限公司英文名称：Luoyang Dongzhou Ceramics Co., Ltd.

　　据我了解,Ltd. 或Limited在英文中本身是Limited Liability Company(有限公司)的所写，所以上面英文名称中的Co就有重复之嫌。正确的写法应该是Luoyang Dongzhou Ceramics Ltd. 或Luoyang Dongzhou Ceramics Limited。如果大家留心的话，英国、香港的公司名称通常后面是Ltd或Limited，而不是不伦不类的Co., Ltd. 中国银行上市时，香港联合交易所上就是写Bank of China Limted。

　　其实还有另外一个写法。上面的写法是属于英系，另一个就是美系写法，即美国有限公司的英文写法，上面的中文公司名称就写成Luoyang Dongzhou Ceramics Inc. 大家如果上过yahoo或ebay的网站，就会发现网站的下面公司名称为：Yahoo! Inc. 和eBay Inc. 沃尔玛的公司名称为Wal-mart Stores, Inc. 当然还有很多公司直接写Corporation或Company，如微软公司为Microsoft Corporation，可口可乐为The Coca-cola Company。但用的更多觉得还是Ltd./Limited/Inc。
