| Re. 发表于2008/6/16 12:16:00 The change of total amount of information concerned before and after the process of interlingual transformation from Chinese into English: Source Text ={A,B,C,D,E}---> Actual Translation ={b,c,e,f,g,h},wherein the expected a and d are missing yet the undesired f,g and h have occurred and the total amount of information of the latter is greater than that of the former while Theoretical Translation ={a,b,c,d,e} is both linguistically and culturally mission impossible.And,first and foremost,Actual Translation has to be governed and bound by all the rules of target language, English in this case, i.e. first of all,the translation has to read English.One may desire to eliminate the so-called redundancy of f,g or h, but this attempt will only lead to ruining the intact Actual Translation as a whole.
