百年前一个西方人眼中的中国

  一百多年前,一位中文名叫何天爵的美国外交官出版了一本书--<<中国人本色>>,.这是那个年代外国人描述中华民族有代表性的一本书.何天爵1844年出生,1869年漂洋渡海,"不远万里"来到中国,先后担任美国驻华使馆的翻译、头等参赞、代办等职达14年之久，1885年回国，何天爵在中国居住16年。作为晚清时期的传教士、外交官，他足迹遍及中国大江南北，甚至到达某写偏远地区；他直处的中国社会阶层十分广泛，上有恭亲王、李鸿章等朝廷重臣，中有各级地方官员、下有和尚、修鞋匠、乞丐等。当时中西方文化相当隔膜，许多不必要的误会和冲突就产生在这些隔膜之上。（未完）

     Over one hundred years ago,a diplomat named He tianjue in chinese publishied a book entitled "The real Chinaman" .It is a typical book wrote by foreigner at that time  in which he dipicted the chinese nation.He tianjue was born in 1844 and sailed to china from a long distance  in 1869.He was positioned as interpreter of the American embassy in china、  counselor general and agency in succession as long as 14 years,then  returned his motherland in 1885.In his 16 years of  live in china , being late-qing-dynasty missionary and diplomatic he travelled thoughout china here and there even somewhat remoted areas;so he had a chance to broadly  in touch with all classes of people in  china's society ranging from the up-class such as Gong infante mansion 、 Li hongzhang  and other important court officials,the middle-class like local goverors of all levels to the low-class including monk、shoe-repairor、 begger and so forth.There was a diaphragm between  the western culture and the  chinese culture at that time ,Thereafter,many unnessassarily misunderstandings and disputes aroused on it
