听保护区的老同志讲，上世纪80年代以前，王朗的主要任务是看山护林，虽然曾经有科研单位对保护区内大熊猫的数量、种群变化等进行过调查研究，但始终没有建立起自己的野外工作体系，和同时代的森工企业一样，工作简单而枯燥。 

1991年7月，我毕业分配到王朗，居然还是该保护区第一个专业技术人员。然而，当时的王朗仍然停留在看山管林阶段，与我在学校学习时的远大的理想相去甚远，我的激情渐渐被消磨，个人的发展和组织的成长似乎都变得遥不可及。 

1997年，各级林业主管部门关注到了王朗保护区的发展滞后问题，WWF适时援助了王朗保护区。在WWF的支持下，我们从大熊猫及栖息地的监测工作开始，逐步展开各项发展工作……经过10多年的不断努力，已经建立了完善的监测巡护工作体系，并在科研院所和其他国际保护组织的支撑下，搭建科研平台，实施生态系统监测。同时，生态旅游、社区共管、环境教育、反偷猎和反非法采集等常规工作也在WWF的资金、技术支持下蓬勃展开，并逐渐成长为王朗国家级自然保护区的主要工作。 

Grow up gradually 

Wanglang Nature Reserve is one of the eatliest gaint panda nature reserves from the establishment of new china. From 1965 to the present, wanglang has experienced from the time of pure managing the mountain forest to the model units national nature reserve. We are growing up quietly in the depth of the minshan mountains. 
I have heard one old comtade had said that before 1980s, the main task of wanglang was managing the forest. He said although there was a scientific research unit doing the investigation and study on the population and population of the gaint panda, we had not established our own wild working system and the work is as boring and simple as the work of the forest industry in the same period. 
In July 1991, I was designated to the wanglang after my graduation, and became the first professional and technical personnel. However, wanglang in theat period was in the stage of managing which was far from what I had learnt in the school. My passion was bunished gradually in that I felt the individual development was so far away from the growth of the organization. 
In 1997, every level of the forestry department was concerned about the problems of lagging development of the wanglang reserve, the WWF gave their assistante in time. Under the support of the WWF, we began our work from the monitoring of the gaint panda and their inhabits, gradually developed. Afrer the 10 years’ 
continuous effort, we have established a sound monitoring system and set up the platform of scientific research under the support of the scientific research institutes and other internatinal organization. At the same tine, the works (怎样翻译“常规工作”) such aseco-tourism,community co-management,environmental education,anti-poaching(怎样翻译“反偷猎”)，and illegal connection are boomingly developed under the financial and technical support of the WWF, all of which have gradually became the main task in wanglang national nature reserve.
