Apeiro's software is partitioned into building blocks called components that have clearly defined behavior and interfaces. Interaction between these software components is over a software bus that allows these components to communicate without having to know the location or address of the other component. Components are not bound by locality and may be mapped across multiple cards. Components can run redundantly for high levels of availability. This supercomputer-like design provides flexibility for redundancy and scalability as the system grows.
