North Korea is to pull all its workers out of the industrial zone. It runs jointly with the South and with continuing tension over Pyongyang’s nuclear program. UN Secretary General says that North Korea cannot continue directly challenging the whole international community. 

Portugal’s government says more budget cuts will be needed after some austerity measures are ruled illegal. Lisbon’s main stock market has fallen and made concerns another international bailout may be needed. 

The German Chancellor Angela Merkel has raised concerns over Russia’s human rights record with Vladimir Putin. She told him during a visit to a trade fair in Hannover that Russia needed a strong civil society. Recent raise on non-governmental organizations in Moscow pumped the criticism.
